An amateur men’s cricket league in India is called the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). It is made up of eight actor teams from eight different Indian film industries. The league was founded in 2011. Since 2011, Salman Khan has served as the Celebrity Cricket League’s brand ambassador for every season. The CCL clubs play their home games at a variety of locations, and the Indian media covers it extensively.

History – 

The CCL was inspired by the success of the Indian Premier League, which has franchises in important Indian cities . The managing director and founder of CCL is a Hyderabadi businessman named Vishnu Vardhan Induri. By selling the franchise rights to four teams in the league’s debut season in 2010, he founded it. Two more teams were introduced for the second season.

In January 2024, as the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) prepares for its tenth season and the South Indian International Media Awards (SIIMA) enter its 12th year of operation, their founder, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, teams up with Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origin, a media investment fund with offices in Singapore and Dubai, to launch the Indian National Cine Academy (INCA), a new pan-Indian intellectual property, and to expand both SIIMA and CCL.

The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is returning for Season 10. In a T20 match with a slightly altered format, eight teams made up of Indian actors, TV hosts, and other celebrities play. The 10th edition of this CCL is scheduled to begin in Sharjah on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Kerala Strikers and Mumbai Heroes will play the opening game. The dates for this episode are February 23, 2024, through March 17, 2024.
