IND vs AUS T20I Series 2023: Squad Announcement

After a tiring CWC’23 Campaign India lost to Australia by 6 wickets in the final. India is all set to take Australia again in a five T20 match series starting 23rd November at Visakhapatnam.

Rest To Senior Players

As expected, India has left out the senior players to give them rest after the draining World Cup campaign. The Indian selectors have decided to show trust in several youngsters. Surya Kumar Yadav has been entrusted with the captain responsibilities, whereas Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the Vice Captain until Shreyas Iyer re-joins the group for the last two matches. Many big names such as unlucky Sanju Samson and leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal have missed out.

Match Details

The T20 series against Australia will begin on Thursday, 23rd November in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati will be the next cities to host the matches on November 26th and November 28th respectively. Shreyas Iyer will join the Indian team for the last two games in Raipur on 1st December and in Bengaluru on 5th December.
