Match Preview
MI vs KKR
Both these teams have played their opening matches. Mumbai Indians lost their opening game for the 9th consecutive season. KKR, on the other hand, made an impact in the first game, they beat Hyderabad by 10 runs. Both the matches were close ones, but only KKR could get the 2 points on the board. The MI vs KKR match will be played at the Chepauk Stadium in Mumbai on the 13th of April.
Chris Lynn, in the first match, missed out on his half-century by just one run. He got lucky a few times with his edges, but he made up for it with his sixes. Despite his performance, there is a great possibility, that he will miss out on the next match. Quinton de Kock is now available for them, and he should be at the top along with Rohit Sharma. They have a great rapport which allows them to build a partnership right at the top.
KKR, in the last match, was at the top of their game. Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill gave them a decent start. From there on, Rahul Tripathi at no. 3 and Nitish Rana were unstoppable. Both scored half-centuries in the first innings. KKR won the match by 10 runs. In the next match, these top-order players will have to continue the way they did in the first match.
Toss and Pitch Conditions
The team winning the toss will want to bowl first again because dew will also be a factor in Chennai. This pitch does not have a lot of turn, which was expected to be the case. But it is a bit slow, and a score of 175 will be a par score.
