Introduction

The FIBA World Cup, organized by the International Basketball Federation is a  global basketball tournament that brings together teams from various nations to compete for the title of world champions. All the top 32 international teams and many top players will participate in it.

FIBA World Cup Details

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be held in the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia from August 25 to September 10. The tournament will feature 32 teams, and the schedule is as follows:

• First Round: 25th -30th August
• Second Round: 31st August – 3rdSeptember
• Quarterfinals: 5th -9th September
• Semifinals: 8th September
• Final: 10th September

The games will be played in 2 different countries. The first round will be played in Japan and Indonesia and the remaining tournament will be played in the Philippines.

The Philippines will host the most games, with 40 matches taking place in Manila, Angeles City, and Clark. Japan will host 28 games in Saitama, Okinawa, and Osaka, and Indonesia will host 24 games in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is the first time that the tournament will be hosted by multiple countries. It is also the first time that the tournament will be held in Indonesia. The Philippines and Japan have previously hosted the tournament, in 1978 and 2006, respectively.
